Komen Events
There are three types of Komen Dallas County events - Affiliate, 3rd Party, and National events:
Affiliate Events include events such as the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure®, Race Thank You Party, Grantee events and Educational events. Some are fundraisers, some are just celebrations and appreciation events and others are mission related events. They are produced by Komen Dallas Affiliate Staff and highly dedicated committees of volunteers.
3rd Party Events are initiated and organized by individual and group supporters in the Dallas area. They range from large, organized events like golf tournaments and luncheons to small personal fundraising gatherings like a bake sale or school fundraiser to cause-related marketing partnerships where a portion of the proceeds are donated directly to Komen Dallas Affiliate. Komen events vary in size, format and location. However, they share our common goal - raising funds to create a world without breast cancer. All events have another element in common - hard working, dedicated and passionate supporters.
